As a member of the interprofessional team, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing expertise in psychiatric nursing services, including management and administration of medication in conjunction with the team psychiatrist and other nurses on the team; assessing the unique needs of clients with additional physical complications; making appropriate referrals to community services; and providing consultation to Registered Practical Nurses on more complex client needs.
