Job Description

Summary

The RN in the Float Pool is the basic level of professional nursing practice. They identify and implement nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population. A nurse at this level may be required to assume leadership responsibility.

Nurses in our Float Pool serve patients on the following units:

  • ER
  • ICU (those that are trained)
  • Ambulatory Care Department
  • Med/Surg
  • Women and Children’s
  • Inpatient Behavioral Health
  • Schedule

  • 60 hours every 2 weeks 

  • Rotating day, evening and night shifts with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts

  • Every 3rd weekend (12-hour shifts) 

  • Rotating holidays
