**Job Description:**
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
_The Emergency Department is a 39-bed unit that specializes in Emergency Care. We are a Level 2 Trauma Center and have a large catchment area that serves the surrounding community. Our typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:3, with 1:1 nursing for the more critical patients. Critical Care Tech’s work alongside the bedside nurses in caring for all the patients. In addition to typical RN duties, they are trained to insert Foleys, IV’s and EKG’s. The ED has a strong team approach where you will feel welcomed and supported._
