Refuse & Recycling Chargehand - Refuse Class 2 Driver

Working as a Refuse & Recycling Chargehand (HGV Driver) , you will be responsible for both driving Class 2 vehicles (Category C) and supervising a team of loaders to deliver efficient waste and recycling services.

This is a hands-on role involving driving, loading, and team supervision within a public-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicles on refuse and recycling routes
• Supervise and lead waste collection operatives / loaders
• Carry out domestic waste collection, trade waste collection, and recycling collections
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, DVSA, and highway regulations
• Complete daily vehicle checks, tachograph compliance, and route paperwork
