An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Recruitment Officer to join a Local Government organisation in Mackay on a 3-month contract. This role sits within a People & Culture team and plays a key part in delivering efficient, compliant and best-practice recruitment and selection services across the organisation.
About the Role
As Recruitment Officer, you will:
- Coordinate and administer end-to-end recruitment processes across a diverse workforce
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide practical recruitment advice
- Manage advertising, candidate communication, interview coordination and panel support
- Conduct reference checks and coordinate pre-employment screening
- Maintain accurate recruitment records within the HRIS
- Prepare recruitment reporting and contribute to process improvements
