Job Description

The Receptionist is responsible for providing effective customer service related to Member Benefit Plan Trust Funds as specified by the collective bargaining agreements and the direction of the Board of Trustees. Effectively receives and deposits all employer benefit contributions and member self payments.

The Receptionist Will

  • Directs all incoming calls to the correct staff member in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assists any “walk in” members in a courteous and professional manner. Answer members’ general inquiries and promptly direct to appropriate contacts for additional information.
  • Processes member enrollment cards and updates members personal policy information.
  • Receives daily mail and distributes to appropriate staff members.
  • Produces letters requested by members confirming benefit status, eligibility and dependent information.
