ABOUT THE POSITION

The Reagent Operator is part of the Process Operations team. He/She is responsible for mixing reagents, assisting the operations team, and ensuring cleanliness and safety in the workplace. He/She identifies operational and mechanical issues with equipment across all departments.

DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure the availability of chemical solutions required for operations
  • Prepare and mix the following reagents:
  • Xanthate (PAX); R208 Promoter; MIBC Frother
  • Flocculant
  • Lead nitrate
  • Nitric acid
  • Assist with the unloading of bulk-delivered products such as:
  • Slag/cement
  • Caustic soda
  • Lime
  • Ensure work areas are clean and safe at all times
