Overview
As a senior member of a team of psychologists and interns in the Counselling Centre, you will provide comprehensive counselling and psychological support to students, advise University staff on managing students with psychological problems, assist in supervising and training interns and qualified psychologists, and deputise for the Manager of the Centre when necessary.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, group and educational counselling to students.
Advise University staff on student mental health issues.
Supervise and train Intern and qualified psychologists.
Deputise for the Manager of the Centre when unavailable.
Respond to crisis situations within 20 minutes of being contacted and be available for after‑hours calls.
Qualifications
Registered Counselling Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
