R&D Technician (Mechanical)

R&D Technician (Mechanical) Centurion Requirements: Diploma, certificate, or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology/Mechatronics. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a product development lifecycle, from concept to prototype. Proficient in the use of 3D printing equipment and additive manufacturing tools. Understanding of materials science, including metals, plastics, and composites. Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, or electromechanical systems. Experience in the Defence industry and familiarity with certification processes are advantageous. Computer literacy: Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Word; proficient in eDrawings; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is beneficial. Skilled in mechanical assembly, fitting, and fabrication techniques. Capable of interpreting technical drawings and CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).
