Job Description
We are seeking an experienced R&D Formulation Chemist to lead the development and optimization of high-performance waterborne traffic paint systems. This role focuses on improving durability, brightness, dry time, rheology control, and overall performance to meet and exceed state DOT specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Formulate and optimize waterborne acrylic traffic paint systems.
+ Evaluate and select resin systems, including acrylic latex and specialty binders.
+ Improve brightness and hiding power.
+ Optimize dry time and viscosity balance.
+ Conduct lab-scale formulations and pilot plant trials.
+ Conduct performance evaluations such as dry time, no-track performance, film build, application properties, durability, scrub resistance, and storage stability.
+ Analyze test data and refine formulations accordingly.
