Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Ranger to join the Surrey Hills Countryside team at Bookham Commons.

You’ll play a key role in the conservation and restoration of one of the best recorded clay sites in Britain - Bookham Commons SSSI. As part of our dedicated ranger and volunteer team, you’ll help to protect, restore and monitor a wide variety of priority habitats, contributing to the long-term resilience of this precious place.

Salary: £22,089 per annum (£27,612 per annum pro-rata)

Contract:  Fixed term contract for 18 months.

Hours/ working pattern: Part-time, 30 hours (4 x 7.5hr days) per week. You should be willing to work some weekends, bank holidays and evenings.

Interview: week commencing 10th August 2026.

Due to the size of the property, a full UK driving license, or equivalent, is essential.
