Job Title: Rail Energy Manager

Job Purpose

To lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the Route's rail energy management strategy, driving energy efficiency, cost reduction, carbon reduction, and regulatory compliance across railway operations, infrastructure, stations, depots, and associated assets.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Route's Rail Energy Management Plan in alignment with organisational objectives and sustainability targets.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on traction and non-traction energy consumption across the Route, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Maintain and enhance the Route's Energy Management System in accordance with BS EN ISO 50001 and support ongoing certification and compliance activities.
