Radiologic Technologist

Accountable to the Diagnostic Radiology Lead Technologist, Assistant Manager of Radiology, and Manager. Operates general, fluoroscopic and portable radiographic equipment to performing a variety of radiology examinations/procedures on pediatric inpatients/outpatients. Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for the sole purpose of producing diagnostic quality images under the supervision of a Physician.

Responsibilities

• Ability to assess imaging orders for completeness, accuracy and appropriateness. Involves patient/parent/and caregiver in care and exam/procedure.
• Demonstrates age-related competency and cultural sensitivity. Introduces self and role. Explains procedure thoroughly to patient and or parent before performing the procedure.
