Quantity Surveyor

Overview

A major engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of civil engineering and nuclear infrastructure projects at a secure site near Plymouth. The role is a long‑term outside IR35 contract with a recognised engineering firm.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of projects from inception through to final account.
• Contract administration (NEC).
• Managing subcontractor accounts.
• Assessing and negotiating compensation events.
• Preparing valuations and forecasts.
• Cost reporting and risk management.
• Providing commercial advice to project teams.

Requirements

• Previous quantity surveying experience in defence, nuclear or civil engineering sectors.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
