Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
Manages the Quality Assurance department, establishes and operates within the department budget, hires, trains, assigns work, appraises performance and recommends salary adjustments for reporting employees.Implements procedures for inspection, disposition and record retention for incoming raw materials and components and reviews quality problems with vendors. Provides supplier surveillance assistance as required.Maintains a system for calibrating all key inspection, gaging and process instruments. Approves purchase and repair of inspection and gaging equipment. Works with vendors to improve inspection techniques and equipment.Leads and promotes the quality assurance philosophy including preventive quality systems.Be proactively involved in corrective, preventive action and problem-solving strategies.
