Job Description
THE ROLE:
The AMD Quality Returns Verification Team is looking for a technician to work onsite at our Austin facility. The role involves a combination of Computer System Assembly/Operation/Debug and Maintenance, Inventory Management, and Shipping Logistics. Experience and comfort with PC hardware is required.
THE PERSON:
-Organized, with attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes
-Can work in a team environment, while also able to work independently
-Experience with computer system assembly, operation and troubleshooting
-Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
-Ability to multi-task
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-System Building Assembly and validation of benchtop computer platforms in the lab
-System Debug Troubleshooting and resolution of issues with platforms as needed
-System Maintenance Regular monitoring, maintenance and assessment of platforms
-Flashing BIOS versions, updating firmware, inst...
