Job Description
Inspects finished goods, forged bars, rings and/or rough machined parts, to ensure conformance to specifications and performing the following duties:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Reads blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish, and dimensions.Compares surface finish of workpiece to finish on set of standard blocks making fingertip touch comparison to ensure production of specified surface finish.Measures dimensions such as length, height, and distance, between reference points to ensure product meets specifications.Reports findings to Quality/Inspection Managers and, if necessary, write Inspection Deviation Report (IDR) if parts are not in conformance.Sets up and tries out inspection equipment to ensure accuracy.Substitutes known values such as dimensions from blueprints into standard formulas and solves for unknown quantities to det...
