Job Description: Quality Engineer (Sheet Metal & CNC Machining)

Position: Quality Engineer
Department: Quality
Reports To: Quality Manager

1. Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring sheet metal and CNC machined parts meet quality requirements. Supports production, performs inspections, solves quality issues, and drives improvement activities.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspection of sheet metal and CNC machined parts.
  • Check part dimensions using tools like calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM (if applicable).
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
  • Prepare inspection reports, FAI, and related documentation.
  • Handle quality issues, perform root cause analysis (5Why, Fishbone) and follow up corrective actions.
