Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer at our Burns Harbor facility. The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the daily quality activities including inspection, testing, ensuring quality system compliance, reduction of waste/non-conforming material and metallurgical product improvement to make the highest quality steel. The ideal candidate will have prior steel industry experience in steel making, hot rolling, or cold rolling, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with complex operations.
Summary of Responsibilities:
+ Provide metallurgical and technical support for product and process improvement through data analysis, problem solving, expertise in area of responsibility, metallurgical and mechanical concepts, and knowledge of customer operations and markets
