Quality Control Operator

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

– Inspect, test and sample materials or assembled parts or products for defects and

deviations from specifications

– Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to

specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments

– Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary

corrective actions

– Discard or reject products, materials and equipment not meeting specifications

– Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective

products per day etc.

– Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply

with safety standards

– Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and

waste; inputting data into quality database
