Job Description
Job Purpose
To support the Quality Control function by assisting with inspections, measurements, documentation, and compliance checks on slurry pumps, pump components, castings, and assemblies to ensure all products meet company standards, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
INSPECTION & MEASUREMENT
Assist with incoming inspection of raw materials, castings, rubber liners, impellers, shafts, and wear parts.
Conduct in-process inspections during machining, assembly, and fitting of slurry pumps.
Perform final inspection of completed pumps and assemblies before dispatch.
Use Measuring Instruments Such As
Vernier calipers
Micrometers
Bore gauges
Depth gauges
Dial indicators
Check tolerances against engineering drawings and specifications.
DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING
Record inspection results on QC checklists, inspection reports, and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
