Job Description
QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN I RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and analyze all wheat and flour product samples including the chemical testing of ingredients, mycotoxins, and pesticide residuals; the physical analysis of moistures, ashes, falling numbers (amylase activity in flour, sprout damage in wheat), flour stability, pH, and the visual observation of color and sensory observation of odors. Assure that products are safe and conform to all regulatory, internal, and customer standards. Immediately report any nonconformance and/or deviation to the supervisor or QA manager. Prepare product samples to be sent to third party laboratory for additional testing. Assist in conducting investigations into customer complaints and/or product non-compliance.
