About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Assurance Manager leads the QA/QC department to optimize mix design and raw material costs, implement quality procedures, manage product development, and support customers and sales representatives across Greater Edmonton / Northern Alberta.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, develop, implement, and standardize quality plans and processes for the region.
  • Conduct quality audits and ensure adherence to the WCan Quality Control Manual.
  • Lead and develop the Quality Assurance team for the region.
  • Assess concrete mix designs for quality objectives and opportunities to increase cement efficiencies while reducing total mix costs.
  • Design laboratory experiments to quantify desired material properties for new product development.
  • Represent the company in technical associations throughout Alberta.
