Purchasing Supervisor

Position Overview

Ensure that orders are issued to suppliers and that order material planning is successful, ensuring efficient use of capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee raw material purchase order process (issuance, tracking, approval) to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Follow up on planned requirements of raw materials with buyers, ensuring they are sent and confirmed by suppliers.
• Follow up on critical materials and manage an appropriate escalation process within the organization.
• Coordinate with carriers to track materials arrivals until manufacturing site.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiating on shortages and improvements.
• Coordinate with planning and work on extended planning forecast.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing plants.
