Job Summary: The Purchasing Staff is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and monitoring supplies and materials needed by the company while ensuring cost‑efficiency and timely delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process purchase requests and prepare purchase orders
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for best price, quality, and terms
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments for procurement needs
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and pricing
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain good relationships
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and procedures
- Coordinate with accounting for billing, payments, and documentation
