Purchasing Officer

Our client is a long-established global manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted production through effective purchasing and supplier coordination.

Key responsibilities include:

• Using Business Central / Navision and Excel to manage purchasing activities
• Collating drawings and part numbers from Bills of Materials (BoMs)
• Raising, placing and expediting purchase orders, ensuring requested delivery dates align with production schedules
• Checking order confirmations, pricing accuracy and delivery terms
• Managing both direct and indirect purchasing requirements
• Sourcing, negotiating and procuring materials, goods and services
• Tracking orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolving delays, shortages or discrepancies
