Job Summary

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for in‑unit management of product inventory, vendor relations, intra‑unit requisitions and purchase orders in a fast‑paced foodservice environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains “show quality” of all areas at all times.
  • Understands all menus, product offerings, packaging, and pricing.
  • Establishes rapport with associates, management, and partners.
  • Employs safety, security, and sanitation guidelines and practices.
  • Oversees in‑unit logistics, including transportation of food to local sites.
  • Schedules and manages team members.
  • Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
  • Completes daily reporting and compiles information for month‑end closing.
  • Reviews forecasts and schedules to meet operational needs and desired targets.
