The Purchasing Manager will lead and support their team of Buyers to ensure that they meet their goals and continuously improve their performance.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead the team of Buyers (8-10) in Mexicali
- Set performance goals for the Buyers and establish actions plans to meet them
- Manages the regional Buyer team including coaching, training, resource allocation, PTO, HR systems maintenance )
- Serves as the 1st point of escalation for expediting critical shortages for Operations.
- Lead lean, cost savings and continuous improvement projects related to purchasing, space optimization, and inbound freight costs as required
- Recommends ideas that improve effectiveness and efficiency of team to Director, Americas Purchasing
