Job Description
The buyer is responsible for independently handling vendor-related tasks, including setting up new parts, creating and adjusting purchase orders, maintaining costs, and updating estimated time of arrival (ETA). This role will need to interface with vendors to obtain order status and with the Supply Chain Program Manager to stay updated on the latest need by dates. He/She will also promptly escalates any issues or problems to the management team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
- Fulfill PO request / PO follow up
- ETA follow up / ETA update
- New parts creation
- Price change (POCV)
- Warehouse discrepancy (CWS)
- Material Transfer / MT follow up
- Issue resolution across PO lifecycle, logistics coordination, and fulfillment processes
