JOB SUMMARY
The Purchasing Asst. provide a smooth and organized transaction with the suppliers. The duties require confidentiality, accuracy and honest reporting. It performs administrative and clerical support for the acquisition of materials and services. The regular working day is spent most of the time in the office however, sometimes required to go out, if needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- To receive request from site/ department,
- To prepare Purchase Order
- To conduct research / source out/ canvass from potential suppliers
- To compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- To negotiate terms of agreement and pricing
- To prepare Purchase Order/s and enter details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal database
- To follow up with the suppliers, as needed, to confirm or to change orders
- To track orders and ensure timely delivery
- To review quality of purchased materials and/or products
