The Purchasing Assistant supports the Procurement/Purchasing team in sourcing, ordering, and monitoring materials, supplies, and services needed for company operations. The role ensures timely purchasing, accurate documentation, and coordination with suppliers while complying with company policies and cost controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing Purchase Requests (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, pricing, delivery schedules, and availability
- Monitor purchase order status and follow up on deliveries
- Receive, check, and validate delivery documents (DR, SI, invoices)
- Maintain and update purchasing records, supplier files, and databases
- Assist in supplier evaluation and accreditation processes
- Coordinate with end-users to ensure timely and accurate procurement
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
