Overview

Our client has been a proven market leader in the production of electric controls and motors and they are currently seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator in Cambridge, ON to join their team for a one year contract . This role will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, managing inventory levels and records and ensuring products are available when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain supply inventory levels for the warehouse and maintain optimal stock to prevent shortages or overstocks.
  • Process, maintain and track inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Oversee correct transfer of stock into destination warehouse.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Create and receive purchase orders and negotiate any changes.
  • Communicate with vendors and warehouse regarding purchase orders and shipments.
