Audit Committee Member

The Board of Chinook’s Edge School Division is seeking two members of the general public to serve a two-year term on the Audit Committee.

Qualifications: Independent of the Division, no relationship with the audit firm, and hold an accounting designation.

Responsibilities: Assist the Board of Trustees and the Superintendent of Schools with oversight of the financial reporting process, the system of internal control over financial reporting, the audit process, and monitoring the Division’s compliance with laws and regulations concerning financial operations. The committee will meet a minimum of once per year.

Compensation: Honorarium of $275.00 per meeting plus travel expenses.
