Introduction

The PTI Clerk is responsible for conducting Pre-Trip Inspections (PTIs) on refrigerated containers to ensure they are fully operational and compliant before cargo loading. This role is critical to maintaining cold-chain integrity and preventing cargo damage.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform Pre-Trip Inspections on reefer containers according to company and manufacturer standards

• Test refrigeration units, electrical systems, and temperature controls

• Inspect container structure, door seals, and cleanliness

• Run operational checks and verify proper cooling performance

• Identify and report mechanical or electrical faults

• Complete PTI documentation accurately and update internal systems

• Coordinate with maintenance teams for required repairs
