As a Property Definition Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding and enhancing engine performance elements and customer expectations for PACCAR’s products. You will investigate engine performance topics, collaborate with vehicle divisions, and ensure technical requirements are met.

  • Developing a thorough understanding of key engine performance elements and customer expectations, including fuel economy, emissions, diagnostics, engine startability, heat rejection, torque and speed, and NVH.
  • Investigating specific engine performance topics using simulations, data analysis, and scope requests.
  • Collaborating with vehicle divisions to improve engine and vehicle integration aspects.
  • Understanding the technical impact of changes in engine/vehicle hardware, regulatory changes, and customer expectations.
