Ideal candidates would have experience leading on planning policy projects and studies, would be a member of the RTPI and have a good knowledge of current planning issues, particularly those facing urban areas with a high quality growth agenda.

About the role:

As a project manager (senior planning officer) in the planning policy team you would be directly helping to shape the future of Exeter. This varied role would lead on specific projects and studies (for particular areas or topics), in particular helping us move our new local plan towards adoption. Work would include undertaking research, commissioning studies, assessing data, engaging with the public and other organisations and working with developers.
