Progress 4GL / OpenEdge Programmer

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments began in 1956 in Toronto and has grown into the largest musical instrument retailer in Canada with over 100 locations. We have our own software development teams who maintain our custom POS, accounting, warehousing and web site software systems.

• 6 months contract with possible contract extension
• Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary role for this position is to work in a team environment updating and maintaining features in our in house Point of Sale software. This software is written in Progress 4GL and has multiple interfaces with our back office, website and logistics software. This role involves:

• Working independently on development projects with minimal supervision
• Interacting with users (our staff) in regards to projects and support issues.
