6 month - 18 month contract + possible extensions

Position required 5x onsite work in Halifax, NS

Experience / Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in conducting structural surveys (~2 years experience) on submarine or surface vessels. This includes:
  • Experience conducting visual inspections on tanks, compartment structure, pressure hull structure or hull penetrations.
  • Competence in using surveyor tools such as pit gauges, feeler gauges, bridge cam gauges
  • Identifying and mapping structural defects in a coordinate system for reporting purposes.
• Education and training that support the role of a structural surveyor. Examples of this are:
  • Lloyds Hull Inspection, Damage and Repair course
  • CSA W178.2 Welding Inspector Level 1 Course
  • American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Practical Welding Technology or CWB Welding Basics
