Job description:About the team:The Program Purchasing department is responsible for managing purchasing-related activities throughout the lifecycle of a project, ensuring part availability, cost targets, and supplier readiness.The role acts as a key interface between the plant, suppliers, and cross‐functional teams such as engineering, quality, and program management.It plays a critical part in driving sourcing decisions, cost optimization, and the successful launch of new products.What can you look forward as a Program Buyer:Ensure part availability and purchasing readiness throughout all phases of the project.Lead and coordinate sub‐projects, acting as the main interface between Purchasing, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and other cross‐functional teams.Manage and track PPAP status for purchased components according to project milestones.Administer and cost‐track Bills of Materials (BoMs), ensuring alignment with target cost objectives.Drive sourcing activities—includin...
