Job Description
Operates mix tanks, milling equipment, agitators, and other pumps as directed by supervisor. Operates all instruments in production room.
Properly uses all plant utilities, including steam, cooling water, chilled water, air, and nitrogen. Initiates plant startup/shutdown by starting/shutting down boilers, cooling tower, or other equipment as directed by the shift supervisor
Abides by all safety rules. Understands and uses the handling and safety procedures for all raw materials and finished goods, specifically acids, bases, and corrosives. Ensures the use of appropriate proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Uses detailed procedures to manufacture safe and quality products. Weighs out quantities of raw materials and pours and/or pumps materials into vessels. Monitors and controls blending processes. Properly documents all activities by initialing and dating completed procedures.
