I have a flat pattern that is rolled up into a foam hat. The edges are secured with velcro; however, for cost effectively manufacturability I need to introduce slits and a locking tab. The fit of the hat around the head is also controlled by velcro but that also needs to have some type of adjustable locking tab. The foam hat is printed in one piece and the new locking mechanisms will be a part of the single print.
I need someone that has some experience with foam products that can simplify the design for manufacturability. It would also be good to have recommendations on foam type and thickness to ensure the best quality. I am open to other suggestions for constructing the product but note that the wearer will do it after receipt. An image of a portion of the product is attached.
Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
