Product Developer Needed for Sourcing, Samples, and Packaging

We're a growing DTC brand selling physical products. We need a Product Developer who works directly with our founder to bring new products from concept to shelf.
This is not a design role — it's a product development and sourcing role.
What you'll own:
• Research market trends, competitors, and category gaps
• Develop new product concepts with our founder
• Source and manage manufacturers (primarily China-based)
• Request, evaluate, and iterate on samples — quality, fit, finish, durability
• Packaging design and iteration — unboxing experience matters
• Bill of materials (BOM) and landed cost management per SKU
• Product development calendar — concept to shelf timeline
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and payment terms with factories
• Ensure compliance — safety certifications, customs, labeling
• Coordinate with operations on production schedules
