Responsibilities

Review and evaluate new product designs, support engineering changes to existing designs, and evaluate legacy equipment against constantly evolving standards. Determine functional, environmental, and/or compliance test requirements and applicability of tests, equipment, and facilities. Build and complete test plans and document results in compliance with ISO 17025. Evaluate progress of tests for validity of test conditions, means of measurement and performance of components or equipment in relation to specifications or requirements of harmonized standards. Review and document test results; take corrective action as needed. Analyze component failures; recommend alternate components or design changes. Author and defend test reports submitted international certification bodies such as CSA and ETL. Specify, select and/or design laboratory test equipment vital to complete equipment assessment;...
