Process Engineer – Chemicals

Summary
Improves and supports chemical manufacturing processes by optimizing safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance while providing day‑to‑day technical expertise to plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production processes to ensure stable, efficient, and safe operation
  • Analyze process data to identify bottlenecks, variability, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead optimization projects focused on yield, energy use, cycle time, and waste reduction
  • Support PSM activities, including hazard analyses, MOCs, and operating procedure updates
  • Develop and update process documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs, and operating guidelines
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, EHS, and quality teams on technical issues
  • Specify equipment changes and support capital projects with process design input
