Key Responsibilities:

  • Optical Alignment / Design/Assembly Engineer developing manual/automated alignment equipment
  • Develop associated optical component attach processes (, lenses, mirrors, fiber, etc.) and transfers to manufacturing
  • Work closely with team members on conceptual design layout, vendor interaction, package prototyping, testing, and performance characterization
  • Contributes to failure mode analysis (FMA) and qualification of product, especially related to alignment
  • Perform data analysis utilizing DOE, SPC, and FMEA tools regularly throughout product life cycle
  • Qualifications:

  • Expertise in complex (6 degree) micro-optic alignment equipment/programming (HW/SW) and attach processes (, epoxy or solder)
