Printing - Machine Operator - Shift C

Position Summary

Reporting to the Printing Shift Supervisor, the Machine Operator in the Printing Department is responsible for operating a printing machine and packing / unpacking rigid plastic containers and lids. A fully qualified Machine Operator will be skilled in the following key responsibilities areas, however, may only be required to perform one or more of the responsibilities at a given time.

Responsibilities

• The machine operator is responsible for performing job kit verification, line clearance, replacing plates and washing and preparing color heads
• Run all lid and base presses, this includes all six and eight color presses
• Pack/unpack boxes according to customer requirements
• Take trending tray samples
• Apply labels and stamp every box without pre-labeling
• Cover other machines for lunch and breaks
