Principal Technical Lead

We’re looking for a Principal Technical Lead to help modernise our clients' technology environment and to support a small development team as they move toward a more flexible, Microsoft‑based platform.

This is a newly created role where you’ll guide architectural direction, improve development practices, and mentor two developers as the business transitions away from a heavily customised ERP system.

What you’ll do

• Develop the future technology architecture and technical design
• Work with the BA and Head of Technology on a software and AI‑ready project plan
• Mentor and support the development team, setting clear standards and processes
• Introduce structure around documentation, peer reviews, release processes, and code management
• Collaborate with an external partner to support delivery
• Help shift the business from paper‑ and email‑based workflows to more modern solutions
