Responsibilities
- Carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
- Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform activities related to purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
- Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process runs smoothly under general guidance.
- Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data to provide input on reasonable prices.
- Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid packages for new accounts.
- Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve issues such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
