About the Role
Reporting to the Supervisor Central Plant, the Power Engineer performs work essential to the ongoing repair, operation and maintenance of the University’s base building HVAC systems. Work is performed under minimal supervision.
This position is a part of the MRSA Collective Bargaining Unit. This is a 2-year limited term, full time position. The normal shift is 7.5 hours per day, five days per week. It is a requirement for Power Engineers to be scheduled in the on-call rotation, on afternoon shifts, weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday), stat holidays and and other scheduled rotations as required to ensure ABSA inspection rounds are conducted daily 7 days/week. Overtime may be required and call-outs to the campus can be expected during emergencies.
The Power Engineer functions within ABSA codes, OHSA and other applicable legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards.
