Postdoctoral Researcher at the Nonlinear Photonics for Neuroscience Research Group

Overview

The Nonlinear Photonics for Neuroscience (NPN) group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoc researcher to join our research on optical technologies for neuroscience. Our group focuses on the development of next‑generation microscopy tools that enable high‑resolution imaging and manipulation of neuronal activity. As part of the ERC PoC Grant “NeuroBridge”, the selected candidate will work on transforming standard two‑photon microscopes, already routinely used in neuroscience, into versatile platforms to study natural behaviour paradigms.

Main Responsibilities

• Optical System Design: Simulate, design, and develop optical modules that can be installed into existing commercial microscopes, focusing on cost minimisation and ease of operation.
